I've tried so many times to learn crochet, but it hasn't stuck yet. (I'm a knitter, through and through.) This is such a cute little pouch, though-- makes me tempted to pick up my hook and try once again! :)
I'm a consummate crocheter - I think I used to be able to knit very simple stuff and I'd like to be able to do a simple stockinette (just because) but there are plenty of crochet techniques left for me to master.
I used a "B"-sized hook and size 5 embroidery floss (a Pearl cotton, I think) to make this. Stitches are small but the thread is smooth enough that the stitches are pretty easy to see.
If you decide to try again, best wishes, I know you'll do just fine!!
